Important CMS billing update effective next week for ALL RHC/FQHCs in the country!

Hello Rural & Community (FQHC) Health Professionals,
Last week on January 9, 2018 Medicare released MedLearn Matters #10350 that speeds up the implementation date of the 2018 updates to the RHC/FQHC Medicare Benefit Policy Manual (Chapter 13) to next Tuesday January 22, 2018 instead of in February!

The Association for Rural & Community Health Professional Coding (ARHPC/ACHPC) would like you to review the two links below to CMS documents that outlines the changes that affect Medicare billing & reimbursement to every RHC and FQHC in the country.

WATCH HERE FOR NOTIFICATION OF A FREE SUMMARY WEBINAR (~15 minutes long) OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS!

(Hint - it will probably appear on our just released today new ARHPC/ACHPC YouTube page)

Our 2018 training sessions (online certification & in-person) will cover these changes in-depth!  Major areas updated or clarified include:
  • When you can and can't bill for more than 1 per diem payment per day (NOTE: you must use different modifers for RHC vs. FQHC!)
  • New 2018 Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) & Collaborative Care Models (CoCM)
  • Patient coinsurance amounts for Care Coordination in 2018
  • Vaccinations - when can they be billed vs. when they are reported on the cost report?
