Hint: Team-based training is highly encouraged! You don't need to be a coder to need this kind of valuable education!  We welcome clinical providers who document in medical records, professional coders, office managers, EHR/IT staff, and medical billers.

Who is the Class For?

Team-based training is encouraged!  We recommend the class for clinical personnel (MD, DO, NP, PA, RN), coders, billers, EHR professionals, and facility and financial managers who work in rural health clinics, small rural hospitals, and CAHs.

What is Being Taught?

The Rural Health Clinical Documentation & Coding portion will be taught live from

Day 1: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Day 2: 8:30 am - 12:30pm

The Rural Health Billing and Health Billing portions will be accessible in two 1.5 hour sessions of webinar training within 1-2 weeks after class.

Earning the Rural Health Coding and Billing Certification:

Upon completing both sections of class, authorized attendees can take a 100 question online examination.  If a score of 75% is achieved, a certification of Rural Health Coding & Billing Specialist (RH-CBS) will be provided by the ARHPC.  Full attendance includes the live training sessions, a one year ARHPC membership, billing webinars, and the testing fee.

After You Pass the Optional Examination:

A certificate will be provided along with annual CEU renewal requirements and membership dues based upon successful test completion.  If the test is not passed the first time a free re-test is available.  The test must be taken within 45 days of the last day of class or a fee of $75 will be charged.  To maintain the certification, CEU requirements must be met along with payment of membership dues payable one year after the date of the class attended.

Cost: $399 Per Person

(Includes class slides, 1 year membership if you pass the exam, billing webinars, and exam fee for optional RH-CBS credentials)
